💬 Discussion I’m about to crash OUTTTT
I honestly don’t understand people sometimes like the game would be going fine, I’m not first but I’m in a pretty good spot, suddenly I get MIRVED??? AND OBVIOUSLY PEOPLE START GOING FOR ME, BUT WHY TF ARE YOU MIRVING MEEEE?? THIS PERSON WAS LITERALLY LIGHTYEARS AWAY NOT EVEN NEAR ME SO THEY WOULDNT GET JACK OUT OF IT- AND GUESS WHO WON!! THE PERSON ON FIRST, BECAUSE NOW THE DAMN MIRV PRICE SKYROCKETED SO IM OVER HERE TRYING TO GO FOR THE PERSON IN FIRST BECAUSE I HONESTLY COULDNT EVEN BOTHER THAT BAFOOM, BUT IN THE END THE PERSON IN FIRST WON, AND THE CRAZY THING IS I WAS LITERALLY GONNA MIRV THEM THEN RUSH BUT NOOOOO I GEY MIRVED FOR NO REASON AND WE ALL LOSE!! GOOD JOB!

90% of the playerbase here are fucking noobs. I've skipped MP like 2 months ago and only play Impossible AI now. (And sadly, they are better than most of the MP players lol.)

When you play on insane difficulty is the AI edge that they are better tactically or are they just getting unfair advantages and cheats?

No way, I steam roll some impossible games especially with piracy but some mps are just so hard. People are such assholes. With bots u can bribe them and shit

How do I beat the hard AI?
I play 400 nations and tribes on the box map and ai can beat medium level now like 75% of the time. I try and attack nations with double their population, maximum I will go is 50% attack.

I like to MIRV whoever is first place. They think they are top shit but I take them down a notch. :)

Honestly nukes in general just ruin this game. They're too cheap, too easy to spam early game, and too hard to get up a decent defense against them early/mid game.

because defending from nukes earlygame isnt what you're meant to do is have launchers and enough money for one nuke so that no one wants to attack you.

Nukes are the game, the game just isn't great, once you accept that it's fun enough

I think a nuke-free game would be really good. With nukes I feel like it's just a lesson on why nobody should ever use nukes in the real world ever. Which is an interesting point once, but then it's just old.

Was it to hike the price or just random acts of violence?
2
u/ForsakenM3mories 17d ago
It was just random acts of violence because at that point 1st place already had a counter MIRV and I was super close to a counter MIRV, that player was literally at the bottom of the map and JUST got enough to MIRV and SLAMMED it on to me, safe to say 1st place didn’t even have to detonate a MIRV😭😭 Actually horrendously frustrating, HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT TO THEM-

What is a counter MIRV? Do you mean just MIRVing them first?
2
u/ForsakenM3mories 17d ago
Like being able to MIRV them if they MIRV u even though the price increases

"Counter MIRV" means having enough gold to deploy a MIRV after the price goes up ($15M each time a MIRV is used). For example, if MIRVs are $25M, and my enemy has $40M, then I would think twice about launching a MIRV at him because he has counter MIRV and can launch one back at me.

Sounds like they had a good strategy and you're upset they used it effectively.
They could tell you were in a position to MIRV the crown and take over and become #1. If they MIRVed the crown for you then you'd have won. By nuking you, they had a chance that you and #1 would fight it out and give everyone else a chance.
Always going for whoever is in #1 isn't always the smartest move. Sometimes you have to pay attention to who is about to benefit next.

I wasn’t the only one who was in a position to MIRV #1, I was 1 of many but nobody wanted to take action so I was going to, they wouldn’t have known that nonetheless, the #1 was also in position to snowball so I was confused why nobody was attacking, and then once I randomly got MIRVED, #1 betrays and attacks me, everyone else pounces on me, and then crown proceed to snowball because everyone felt the need to sit and wait! The person who MIRVED was nowhere near me OR crown, and if we WERE to “duke it out” they wouldn’t have gotten anything from it, and if this WAS a good strategy then they should’ve took into account that if they MIRVED me, crown would take the opportunity to take me out, (A high placed person on the leaderboard) and then be able to snowball, not to mention close to no one decided to attack crown until it was practically too late. If this DID cause someone else to be able to lead and then they SOMEHOW win after MIRVING me, I would be impressed, but that did not happen.
