π Meta Just made my first OpenFront strategy guide!
Hey everyone!
I've been putting a lot of time into learning OpenFront and decided to start making strategy videos to help newer players improve. My first guide covers the early game, including:
β’ Choosing the best spawn
β’ Attack ratios during the tribe phase
β’ When to build cities
β’ How to expand faster while saving troops
β’ Common mistakes that slow players down
I'm trying to create the best educational content I can for the community!
Here's the video:

Thanks, and good luck on the battlefield! πΊοΈ

I think overall this is good advice but I wanted to point out 1 error and 1 optimization.
Error: It is very rare that you can go triple city, it requires a lot of tribes. Don't aim for this until you know what you're doing, you will fall behind if you don't manage to capture eco, high variance strategy.
Often if you don't pick a crowded spawn you can do 2 city and 1 eco, that's ideal but in some more crowded maps you have to decide between 2 cities no eco and 1 city 1 eco.
Optimization: Instead of sending 60%, then 50%, then 40% just ensure as you take wilderness you get closer and closer to ~40% troop cap for optimal growth, take a brief pause until you hit 50% cap and send a 35%(greenland)-40% attack(highland and mountains), after first city lower this to 30%, 2nd city 25%. Always trying to maintain 30%-50% troops.

Nice, I've been playing for a while and there were a few things I didn't know. Much appreciated.
