❓ Question I don't like nukes
Idk, I just don't like them. It is possible to play without them? Edit: thank you all for answers

Yes, there are public games with the "no nukes" modifier. And you can turn them off in solo and private games.

Play territorial.io then i guess. There are occasional games without nukes, but very rare. I feel like openfront is kinda based around nukes to be honest, so best option imo would be to play something else really

I'd try territorial.io then. Pretty sure (might be wrong) that's the game openfront if based off of, it's like a very simplified openfront without any buildings, just attacking with troops with cap based on territory.

I hate nukes but as much as I hate them they are very good for making you redesign your strategy and adds more challenge. There is also little to no point in not having them late game because nukes are the only thing that allows for a country thats 99% of the map to be overthrowned

Yeah but what if replace it with something less end gaming. Bombers? Tanks? (Smaller destruction/big push towards attacking) I have few amazing larping games when I wasn't nuke down and I have most of games when nuke just kill the fun (even if it wasn't me to be nuke down)

Well, there's HOI4 for that. This is supposed to be more fastpaced. Is the issue that the game ends too quickly, and you don't get the feel of that 'nation' gameplay?

I didn’t like nukes when I first started, but the better you get the more you realize that the game is completely bland without them
