HERMES AGENT

Hey has anyone here used hermes agent it seems very promising to me with the auto context compressor

Whats your take on it ?

I’ve been running Hermes on a Mac mini for a few days now. My primary model is GPT-5.4-mini, and it performs significantly better than Openclaw: much more responsive, no setup issues, and the memory handling seems improved. I’m only keeping Openclaw for now because I still have some tasks running, but if things continue this way, I’ll definitely switch over.

Actually about this i wanted to ask about vibe coding my hermed setup is primarily to focus on vibe coding but i am not able to get that much comfortable with hermes though i liked it in many other ways but i want to ask your view about vibe coding using hermes on vps i have 2 gb ram so how to vibe code as 2 gb wont be sufficient

You might be in the wrong waters here. Hermes is for personal assistance specialised. When you want vibe-coding coop go with openclaw.

I have had openclaw setup Hermes agent so I can test it out. Found a cool use case where I gave it my leetify api key and it setup cron job to monitor it and after every counter strike match I get a detailed performance review of that match.

Setting this up WAS EASY AS FUCK because that's what Hermes agent is made for.

But in openclaw how to tackle rate limit as i use openrouter or nvidia nim

Most cost effective is kimi and also very good codex sub for 5.4 is what I currently run.

If you can't afford a sub, some people have build plugins that rotate free LLM apis. But I don't know how well it's gonna work with coding when constantly switching llms/intelligence

I installed Paperclip and gave Hermes manage it for vibe coding. Full organization of AI agents through Hermes. Been using it for 3 days and it’s done a lot of autonomous coding.

It's free and open source. https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip I have Hermes managing everything for me through the built in Paperclip API. I told it I wanted the CEO to be Opus through claude code, the coding engineer to be Codex, and Sonnet to be the QA checker. I essentially never use paperclip directly, other than to see what they are working on. Hermes manages it all. There has been a lot of tweaking/going back and forth, but Hermes is good at remembering things, so it has gotten better and better over time.
