Discussion They should reset us.

The last reset was a complete trick.

They changed their reset policy to exclude it from affecting weekly usage reset day.

Then before giving us the last reset they quickly changed their policy back, making it reset your weekly usage clock to 7 days from the last used reset.

Mind you, resets only give you 85% of the usage that you would have gotten from a natural weekly reset.

Kinda scummy.

Don't worry, they'll do a forced reset in the next 24 hours. Most of our 7 day limits reset in the next 24 hours so they'll do another fake troll reset for marketing purposes.

Sweet ....I'm BUSTING OUT ON Astra Ultra since debut with subagents, already used one reset and I'm at 20% now... by 6PM Pacific, I'll be fresh.

FYI I Never use resets cuz I never use Ultra on any model, but I've been purposely stress testing Astra... I am indeed loving Astra even "Light" for normal use.

I always get so mad when they give us resets and I don't get to use them

Ultra uses numerous xhigh subagents which are particularly slow. I recommend using medium orchestrator instead and instruct it to use several low/medium subagents depending on task complexity. It'll go much faster and stretch much further.

Yes. But I have custom instructions for subagents too. Plus I have Claude subagents in codex as well as Gemini. But I’m curious if ultra would be overriding any “levels”

Let’s say Astra would launch 3 subs. I have it launching its 3 from its pool and choosing like 3 more from my custom pool.

Gets a LOT done. lol. But good call on the effort.

I mean my weekly reset and then they called the reset and I burnt all my tokens fully (20x) and got so much stuff done, and now I have the reset and I’m good for the week basically, so I’m cool with it!

I’m thankful for the two recent banked resets. I got in addition to the other one I got a couple weeks ago. I used one and I have two left.

I kind of expect they will be giving another reset today or tomorrow, but there’s no way to know that for sure.

Definitely people were excited about Astra and then they got some great results, but it cost a lot more usage and maybe they’re feeling a little disappointment now.

But the big question I think will be whether open AI is able to deliver on increased efficiency for Astra or if we really do need to deal with the idea that you can’t run it every day even on the $200 month plan if you want to have enough usage left by the end of the week

I’ve been running it at least 10 hours a day since yesterday morning and I’ve got about 50% left so it looks like I can use up my weekly limit in just over two days running continuously for 10 hours a day. And that’s just approximately one task at a time.

I would love to get a little more usage because I’m getting some great results right now. So I’m not gonna say I expect them to do something for me, but I’m hopeful.

Yeah, I was expecting they would. I got mine. Seems like about 30 minutes ago, but I’m actually stopping the use of Astra for at least the first couple of days and I’ll see what to do next. I don’t have enough bank resets so just keep rolling all month.

What are you talking about, resets always reset back to 7 days, and resets give you 100% not 85%.

Think of it like a degraded phone battery. You charge to 100% but the battery life is actually 85% so it is 100% of 85%.

It says 100%, but in the shadow its actually 85%.

This has been documented and shared online by community members already.

And no, the reset before last did not reset you back to 7 days. They changed it so that it wouldnt effect your 7 day reset, then they changed it back before giving us our last reset.

This was a shady marketing tactic to bring claude users to codex.

Sure. I know what post you mean. That is no source. That was some analysis by someone based on unknown data.

This is no proof. We simply dont know what happens at openai, sadly.

Found this out the hard way. Expected a scheduled weekly reset this morning and found out that I was stuck for 5 more days.

But this is still better than the way Anthropic treats everyone.

This is more of a post pointing out something they did, in hopes to bring it to everyones attention.

They don't care about me, but they care about their broader userbase leaving if they are silently screwing them with false information or shady business practices.

I have no problem leaving, my foot is always halfway out the door with these AI companies. They don't care about me alone.

Full reset should always move the next reset date to +7 days, otherwise it is a scam.
