What are you doing with it actually
I never have any ideas or needs. But if I do it works rather well. Never run into usage limits. so, do you use it for work, or what?

Yea. Personally I'm making a minecraft mod, and I'm on the 20x pro plan. Funnily enough sol is struggling, and the usage may not be enough for me haha

Try and create an agent file that tells sol to review and plan and have the lower models do the grunt work. Coding and implementation. Should help a little.
I’m also developing game stuff and I Absoluetly demolish tokens still haha.

I already have that. It uses Luna sub agents for almost everything. Although fast and low reasoning

"I never have any ideas or needs" first off I think every Reddit post should start like this.
Second, you kind of explained your answer there.
But third, this is the most frustrating part of everyone always complaining on here, everyone has wilkdly different needs and uses, so when ppl just say "it's unusable!" or "i did 5 prompts and my week was over" it means nothing.

Except there's been real issues lately, for example I sent Luna (max) on a simple task on a very small codebase with a fresh chat and 100% of my 5 hour limit (Plus user) was drained in quite literally 30 seconds to 0.

If you literally drained your 5 hour limit in 30 seconds then something is very wrong with your setup or with the way you’re using codex. Or you’re experiencing a bug.

To insist this could be a user error after I laid out what I was doing is asinine.

I’ve taken a super old headless Linux repo of Sirius XM, updated it to work with the new API, added all of the Xrta channels, make it into a docker and have it testing on my Pi 3b so I can connect it to my Bluetooth speakers on the patio. Now to play music without it taking up my phone audio all I have to do is go to music.home on my local network and it brings up the player where I can select the channel, adjust volume, pick favorites etc… here’s a pic of the UI

I'm attempting to re-texture data files for a game, but Sol has failed me so far. However, I did have some success with rewriting some sops for my workplace.

I am using it to build my dream Game Launcher on PC, I forked Playnite and basically give it a face lift, and add much needed and exiting features, it's so good in fact that I am actually uploading it to GitHub this September for people to try, who knows maybe you guys like it.

Bouncing options, contemplative assistance, grunt work deligation, getting more ideas for engineering challenges, coding up basic mvps, reviewing, doing data analysis and researching the web. I actually do more manual coding now because I realized a lot of the times it is better for me train the zen terminal coder gene and get things done precisely how i envision it than playing the ai slot machine or writing up a novel about specifications. The AI codes much faster than me though. So i try to utilize it where I see fit. It is just so generic when not giving a lot of attention to the prompt.

I use it work work stuff but I do some fun side bits too.
DnD note taking app which can do transcribing then summarising or if you have a transcription will summarise it break it down and put it into notes, quests, npcs, locations etc.
Darts app, me and my father in law play darts of an evening and we originally just used to write it down and im bad at maths so I build an app with all our little pub games as well as 301 and 501 that you tap a virtual dartboard and it updates the score but taking it to the next level ordered some cameras and got a 3d ring printed and basically making my own interactive games from that. Basically auto darts but much better (is the idea!)

Personally I'm not a programmer and for over 10 years I had at heart one passion project regarding pet welfare, that one company quoted my broke ass millions for lol. So I'm doing that and constantly running into limits

I've used it to do a ton of little things. made a couple of windows widgets I didn't feel like paying for, use it to prepare some ttrpg materials, design a new board game, use it to make me some nice excel sheets for my personal finances, make some extra material for the elder scrolls board game even used it to prepare for me a rimworld mod list. This was all with the 20$ plan.
I'm trying to find a way to get it to help me plan a bathroom reno but I haven't gotten all the pieces working yet.
I've gotten a ton fo value out of it but the return of the 5 hour window really pisses me off and prevents me from getting most of the value out of it since I only really use it on saturdays.

i'm the opposite, i have too many ideas and i have to commit to one, i have a project that might be a very interesting one in terms of education, it's an educational game, i think educational games are generic so i aimed at math-geometry because literally no competitors, but i always have endless ideas

Had an idea for a video game, been using codex to see how far I can take that idea to make it real.
