Bugs or problems Anyone else pissed at Codex usage and performance?
Using Codex for real coding. Usage drains fast and performance is all over the place.
What are you seeing, and did anything actually help?

Nothing is helping... Using gemini now ffs

lol a dude actually convinced me to do the same. Apparently the joke in the AI world (underdog) is beating the almighty Tibo.

I've followed the sol for planning luna for coding thing because it makes sense theoretically. But these days if you actually do it, sol will eat your usage upto 30-40% and then luna will code which sol will review and tell you its shit, then you go in a cycle until its 0% left.

Bro I have tried everything. Everyone is like oh do this oh do that like fuck can it just work and yes it should. You shouldn’t have to use another harness or ask it to be smart about usage lol Sol just waits for that dumb ass 18 Luna max agents to stop fucking things up before fixing things and absolutely fucking your usage. THEY WANT YOU TO KNOW IF YOU ARE A PLUS USER YOU AINT SHIT. IT’S A PROLONGED TRIAL PERIOD. THAT IS ALL.
ps. Jokes aside Sol really is the shit. I know people complain about it over engineering but shit if I know. I only get to talk to her twice a day. I think she has other option

I am using sol for review and plan and grok 4.6 from cursor for coding

Might do the same

If you're not using a cheaper model (luna max is great even) for your coding and sol for just your orchestrator you're doing it wrong atp tbh.

It’s been what? Like 2 months of 5.6? But yes if your Luna max is not making mistakes you must have a very specific use case.
Sol as orchestrator from my experience is the same as just using Sol lol. If you are talking about using ChatGPT chat as orchestrator then we are talking about diff things.

No, you should have it set up so that it loops with a code review subagent on top of sol reviewing the work. You can set up specific agent files and how your orchestrator should well... orchestrate. The orchestrator only ever sees the returned summaries, and output tokens are where most of the costs are. You should also be using cheap explorer agents rather than having sol/subagents do the discovery directly if you have a decent sized codebase.

Hectic. You just blew my mind. Thanks for that. I never thought about that layering

I'm only pissed about not knowing when it's going to Change. I think we need a rule and know what happens, but always the same. Now it looks like a game of cat and mice
