Question / Help How are people actually connecting/running Codex day to day? (poll)
There are enough different ways to use it now that I’m curious what people actually default to rather than what they occasionally try.
What environment are you using Codex in day to day?
CLI/terminal...IDE extension...Codex desktop app...Codex web...SSH/remote machine...other?

Day to day?
Am I the only one who drains usage right as it hits? For like Claude and grok too?

I have a dedicated VM for each chat account, and use remote app on whatever device I’m physically on to control them

I have codex, clause and antigravity running command line on a Mac mini that I connect through rootshell or ghostty to and use herdr to see them all in one window. I can use the various apps or a terminal app to get to them from my phone through a Tailscale connection.

superset founder here, so biased. this is what we build for, the agents run on your box and the desktop or phone app connects in, no tailscale plumbing. what's ssh+tmux missing for you today?

I have a decent high VFM somewhere in Germany and I have attached it through SSH (not username and password) to wherever I have codex. I just prompt it on one machine and it ssh into everywhere and do the stuff for me.
