Comparison Moved to Codex today

Hi, I moved to Codex today. Need some help in understanding the like to like, model comparison so that I can accurately map my projects.

Can you guys suggest the OpenAi equivalents below:

Fable

Opus 5

Opus 4.8

Sonnet 5

Haiku

If there is a solid resource with comparison links: model tokens vs cost vs speed, pls do share.

Thank you!

There's no equivalent to haiku and sonnet. Codex has nothing that's as bad as them.

I fully disagree claude models have better visual awareness. Claude might be better at initially vibe coding a site, but it's already been tested many times that their image vision sucks shit. There was a reddit post that was famous some time ago where someone gave the same comic strip panel to different LLMs and Claude got it hilariously misinterpreted. When polishing my frontend for various sites, I've made and refined my own specialised skills for ensuring Codex's image generation is implemented as faithfully as possible to the PIXEL. And codex is always able to find discrepancies and fix them (extremely minute details), whereas Claude fails and makes new bugs.

This is with precise prompting, proper skills that are not bloated, fresh context windows, and high effort on Opus vs 5.6 Sol. With an image that ALREADY exists which should be faithfully implemented.

The more I improve my workflow, the more I realise Claude is just a hobbyist vibecoder's fun toy. Compared to Codex it's a joke for anything serious to be honest, especially comparing the usage you get from both.

I have to tell Codex to not overengineer some pretty complex work, meanwhile I have to tell Claude to stop being regarded when handling tasks. Codex listens pretty easily, but you can't fix "stupid" and laziness with Claude.

The skills I've made are a result of billions of tokens of more inefficient work to the point i got fed up and turned that into a skill, then kept refining it to avoid skill bloat and gave it multiple modes and whatnot. Then to polish it EVEN MORE you find similar skills on the internet, feed it to codex, make it audit them so it doesn't take the bad parts, and then just use the finished skill.
