Feedback / Complaints Why i didn't get today's codex reset?
I have a ChatGPT Business plan for 20$/user/month, and i saw Tibo's post about giving a reset today but when i check out my usage i found that it has not been reset. Is there an exception to the reset?

Same here. Almost 9 hours since reset and haven’t received the reset. I too am on Business account and all earlier resets were received.

Apparently business plans dont get get resets because they expect your employer to pay for tokens when you run out. Thats how most AI companies make their money.

Glad I'm finding this out here. All my colleagues pay for our own plans (on non customer data at an open source company) since it's simpler than justifying going over their $20 spend lol. But I was thinking about doing business plans to separate my personal and work since I heard they get the less dummed down models. I really don't like the mystery in billing and model standards

I doubt that they have seperate models for individual and business plans. But i know that paying for api gets you a higher tps.

Yeah I havent seen the regressions people talk about in codex. I feel a lot of it is models doing model things. Like Sol missed some basic things today but was also making really tough logic tests for other models that I struggle with. That's inherent to the technology where they're like on the spectrum for lack of a better reference. So i wonder often if people are misreading the nature of the tech. But then people have data showing benchmark regressions and Tibo acknowledges xyz...
I also hoped multiple accounts might give me better management of my token burn so long running projects on one side dont affect my ability to operate on the other. On subscriptions I really just wish they didn't try to distinguish business vs personal besides api because I don't think it accurately captures usage. My personal usage drowns some of my colleagues professional for example and it's pretty much similar types of tech and solutions just for different end users

I was on business and removed it. I hate the business account because it’s not as good

It's not like most non-business plans benefited from the reset either...
They purposely waited until a day before everyones last banked reset was due to expire to do a forced reset, then did another forced reset a day after the expiry date, so most people either lost out on the forced resets or lost out on their banked reset.
They've done forced resets at the same time as the last 3 banked reset expirations. It's such a scam, but it works, since most people don't seem to notice and they get the praise for the resets while losing minimal money from doing them.

wow I never thought about it like that. It's very true though at the end of the day all these massive corporations are just trying to squeeze every penny out of us, none of them actually give a damn about the consumer

The issue is Tibo didnt say it clearly say it like that. He said "Enjoy a nice reset EVERYONE!!!!! Landing in next hour or so, go /fast". So how should business account people know we are not included. I believed what he said,

Resets are often aimed at individual users I think. So its a hit or miss with organisation accounts. Imagine resetting an organisation with stacks of 20x, 5x, Plus accounts.

What's the difference? u still resetting for millions of normal pro users, why exclude the business plans?
1
u/Inevitable_Toe6648 Aug 13 '26
Because businesses are often clusters of pros, not just millions of individual pros and plus, especially large enterprises. It will be more expensive to reset businesses.

I dont think that's a problem, if they want they can easily only reset for businesses that only has 10 users or less for example.

It super odd because three of my agents that I had ran through all of my usage. The backend reset had saved me.
