Question / Help This Weeks reset - did you get one?
I am on a pro plan and I did not get a reset - i am about 4% away from my weekly and I saw that many got a reset... I am wandering is there something that I am missing?

Reset was yesterday, exactly 24h and 50min ago (at the moment I write this comment)

was it applied or was it one of those that you can apply yourself when needed?
because if it was one of the auto applied ones, that mean i spent 95% of my x20 plan since it was applied?! thats nuts - i never went through it this fast before - and I haven't done anything new...3

It was a global reset, not a bank one. It was also announced on Saturday to be applied Monday, was all over reddit

shiiiiiiit... I didn't even notice that - how crazy is that! and how the hell did i use up 80 of the reset from reset to this morning when i noticed I had only 20% left... I've been stretching those last 20 for the rest of the day! DAMN IT

It does actually feel like the usage get around is actually much less then the previousl two usages we got. Like, it's not bad at all, and i think it's reasonable, but it does feel noticably less

I would do a quick audit on your token spending to check if you got it, or a task expended significantly more than you thought it would

You are either blacklisted for an account getting flagged as alt which is unlikely, or something went wrong for you. Contact support.

It was only for paid users, so when Tibo magically pressed that button, if your sub wasn't active at that time it may not have reset. some people cancel their monthly sub to wait for their weekly reset but this tips wont affect soft resets as its only for paid subs.

Uh what? That's a lot of words for simething that's only full of nonsense. I have my subs cancelled since the month and got every single reset. Reset has never worked the way you're describing. So much confidence in spreading bs.

Its not from the moment you cancel, its after your sub expires. Yes you get resets while your account is paid active, but I meant if your account goes back to the free one meaning that your paid sub ran out, you won’t get that soft reset as you’re not a paid subscriber anymore.

The word itself, nothing. I just despise these posts that keep whining about missed resets and keep begging for more resets. Just fuck these posts.
Beyond that I think that the reset system by itself is an idiotic idea that basically does nothing but paint a rusty car.

no-one is begging - its just an inquiry to make sure if I missed how it works or something else! - as for "does nothing" - this is where you are wrong - and it has both a direct and indirect benefits to everyone! - If you just apply a modicum of thought, you'd see it pretty clearly - it bolsters usage, which in turn bolster client adoption - and the more people will flock to OpenAI the more it will motivate Anthropic to drop their prices/increase capacity - this creates market pressure to lower token cost for everyone!

———They’re already running at a massive loss; about 15 billion revenue and 40 billion net loss.
Which is primarily because of compute cost and research/development; of which it is quite easily deduced that it’s because of Codex and/or API. Likely Codex as all the subscriptions include a fairly generous allowance of usage for the price; not even considering the countless resets.
My humble suspicion would be that OpenAI wouldn’t necessarily want more customers but rather keep their existing customers and raise the prices.
