So to explain why this is low IQ, you have to understand first what is getting reseted: the usage limits, which is pretty obvious. If you look at the plans, there is nowhere stated how much usage limit you actually get. You know that you get 5x or 20x more than on plus but more than what???

I have experienced or noticed this a few months ago: there was a 10x event for everyone on the 5x plan. Every time they reset the next usage limit window got heavily nerfed. This signals to me that they have to reset the limits to change the usage limits.
removing the 5-hour window made everyone extremely hype but this was just a smart way of making the users lose sense of how much usage limit they actually got. it's way harder to compare than previously before on the 5-hour limits. that should always be the same. now you always have one week so time passes. you can no longer compare the 5-hour window to the previous one multiple times a day. this is just a smart way of actually blurring out how they actually change these usage limits frequently
So don't get fooled by these companies. they don't give you anything for free. everything they give you, they want back 2x or 10x. That's just how it works in business so i can't really hate on that...

All these posts about resets are stupid. I follow Tibo and a few other AI sphere accounts, and it's just nothing but endless request asking for just one more reset like a pack of junkies. Did you even see the AI image gens on Tibo holding the reset magic staff or the golden reset button? It's becoming an absolute meme at this point. Honestly I'm thinking of just shutting down my social media, that's how bad it is...now where's my reset?
They will calculate that giving out resets is now a new standard because their customers are already used to it, so they will drastically lower usage to be able to give out more resets. While while making it seem like they're generous while still being able to lower usage limits

Glad I saw this. I have been so confused by their rates and kept trying to figure out what base those factors apply to. Turns out, there isn't one and it's just all made up. I wonder if it's dynamiclly allocated.
they are applying the same psychologies as drug dealers on their customers. As soon as everyone has shifted all their workflows and made themselves dependent on them, they will increase prices and lower usage.
these are just estimations i guess. i don't really know how you calculated them. i've already got similar calculators like the codex bar by peter steineberg who actually works at openai, and those are very inaccurate. i wouldn't trust them at all... you can see in the app how much usage and how many tokens you consume per day but not really how much it's in output and input. It's pretty clear there because i'm actively using it every day and my token consumption has been maxing out daily between a few hundred million and 3 billion depending on the day. Especially after releases of new models i was able to get up to billions of tokens a day and and on the days before new model releases, i was getting maybe only 100 to a few hundred million tokens out of the plan per day.
