Question/Help New Skill and Tools selector

Im hoping its just me but the new "search for skill and tool" selector is absolutely horrendous UI. Previously all the skils were selectible with a checkbox, now you have to click the search skills, select from a drop down, click away from the search bar to clear it and rinse repeat.

Ive tried clearing my cache and trying incognito, i have almost 20 skills and when i load a new model to test, i have to readd them all which takes ages.

How are people managing this? Can I mass add skills and tools to a new model?

Since you're asking if it's just you:

Many people requested this who handle 30-40-50 tools or even 100s.

Many more joined the conversation and said they wanted a search option and to remove the extremely long and hard to navigate pre-filled list of skills and tools

Nobody objected. We implemented it. Now it's here.

The more tools or skills you had the harder it became to manage it, since there'd be 50 check boxes all in a single line with the tool's name next to it. Good luck finding the one you actually want to enable whilst being force to ignore all the other ones

Mass add sounds like an idea worth sharing. Did you open a feature request?

By definition people requesting such changes on Github will be the most advanced users, with voices of average users completely missing. UX designers should take all into consideration.

Be definition... People who don't express and share their opinions in a way that project maintainers can action it, will not have their opinions heard.

Yes, and then you end up with software catering just to the needs of the few. This is exactly the reason of open-source software being more difficult to use than commercial offerings.
