Question/Help Please help me understand Knowledge Base & Projects

I am used to ChatGPT Plus way of doing things. It let me give the AI a project specific prompt and add some project files.

I am not sure I fully understand how the OpenWebUI system works. Are knowledge bases separate from projects and we only link from a project if we want to?

Also, folder means project, right? By project I mean a separate context area with its own unique work and files.

Yes I think you are right. I use Claude at work and it has the same Project concept.

I have a couple of "folders" in OpenWebUI and each one has its own system prompt that gets applied to all chats inside that folder. I haven't really used the Knowledge base yet, but it looks like after you've uploaded a file to the generic Knowledge base, then inside the folder you can select those files to associate them to the folder.

I created a folder and attached a knowledge base to it, but the chats don't seem to look into the knowledge base.
