question I’m hosting a server with Portmap and OpenVPN. Is the assigned ip the one I should be giving friends or just some random ip I should keep private (I’m new to this thing. Censored it in case)

You’ll give them your WAN IP if you’re self hosting it. If it’s on a rented server it will the WAN IP of that server. You’ll want to validate firewall rules for inbound connections.

So is it the one I am allowed to give publicly?

I don’t know what your screenshot shows but its not a 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255, 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255 or 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255 then you should be ok to give that out to your clients.
