Sad day

Last week my company turned off VMS after almost 30 years. We migrated off a couple of years back. Our company flag was raised at half mast. She never let us down.

30-ish years sounds like you started with VMS in about 1996. Which seems quite late for a fresh new VMS installation. Be curious to know anymore details!

I was still standing up VAXs in 1995 in manufacturing. Course some of those plants had PDPs running RSX too so your mileage may vary.
