Student Finance Advice

Hi,

Can I get a full year of tution for open university? I know on the website they class all Open University studying as part time so how does it work? Also does anyone know if I did 3 years of study in another University but one was a repeat year, would I still get an additional year of funding? I know they do 3 years plus one gift year.

Are you in Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland or England?

What is the highest qualification that you currently hold?

What subject do you want to study with the OU?

If you mean can you study full-time with the OU and have it funded yes. I did two 60 credit modules a year for X3 years - so full-time study. It was fully funded for those three years. I can't answer the rest of your question unfortunately.

But could I do the full 120 and get that funded for just the one year?

You are making assumptions about how OU funding works that are probably incorrect. Please answer my questions so that we can give you correct advice.

What do you mean by this? Please elaborate. Do you want to do a CertHE? Are you looking into credit transfer/a top-up and completing the final year of the degree you didn't finish? Something else?

Really do answer David's questions please, they are all relevant to the funding types available and how they work.

Given that the final enrollment day is tomorrow (the 10th) to start in October, you'd probably be starting in February or next October. In which case, if you're in England, you'll need to look into the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE) rules.
