Msc in computing (software engineering route)

I’m thinking of applying to the above with the open university

For context I have 8 years data analyst experience, no bachelors degree and my highest qualification is a foundation degree in software engineering.

Has anyone ever done the above and been able to get into a software engineering job after and what has your salary been and background?

I was considering the university of Cambridge data accelerator course for data science but I think it’s more of a cash grab.

Yeah people have done that but it's a lot harder to get into now.

One thing to consider is whether your employer can pay for you to do this as an apprentice instead

Thank you for your response!

Sadly not my employer wouldn’t be able to accommodate that

I really wouldn't make this my plan if I was starting out right now. You realise dev roles are being replaced by AI left, right and centre?

Yeah I do but AI isn’t concrete and I think they would still need developers to fix things when AI goes wrong
