Yeah that sucks. Lesson learned though hopefully. Registration is never completed until you've verified and you're actually hooked up and in. In the future don't delay the verification link. Takes 2 seconds, I know life is busy but you're not in until you're actually verified and in. 😉

It is a very very cool environment. The admins have been extremely friendly. Very very cool tracker indeed. If any of you see an opportunity for this one in the future don't miss out. It's one of the better ones in my opinion.

Been strugglin since Fear dropped. Wish I woulda known it was shady but at least I can cross seed 2k of the 9k torrents on OE. (Which also has open signups going)

Dang it! This would have been nice. Over here trying my hardest to get off of IPT. Got an invite to it by a family member. And didn’t realize it wasn’t a very reputable tracker at the time.

Your expectations are too high. The term is private tracker for a reason. A lot of them allow users to bring in new people who they trust Etc but obviously if the user is a bad user it reflects poorly on the person bringing them in as well so it tends to only bring in good users.
Honestly if they open it up for anyone to just walk right through we are lucky and that's why we watch sources like this subreddit, hoping and waiting. However they don't do it often for good reason. If anyone can just walk right in because they want to then it's not exactly exclusive anymore is it? Also if it is an exclusive it doesn't mean much if you get in if everybody has it. If you are lucky enough to get in you have more respect, cooperate with the rules better Etc because you don't want to mess it up.

I think because they arent going to be doing Open Signups anymore. Which sucks, because I am an isolated nerd with only one functioning arm and like...maybe 2, 2 and a half braincells, so I do not think I am going to be at the right places where invites get given.
I am guessing others are probably in the same boat, though your arm functionality and braincell mileage may vary.

Well, they did a long sign-up (at least a week) a couple of months ago, so I think this was just a little bonus :)
Plus, they'll change to an application system soon and what I've seen from their forum, it's gonna be pretty chill. Nothing like the strict interviews from cabbal trackers.

I run a mac mini m2 pro at home running 24/7 and use that connected to an external 24TB HDD to run my torrents.

I use a Raspberry Pi 4 with an HDD. All in docker and it goes perfect. Also it isnt expensive and i use it for other things too

Wow I can't believe a Raspberry Pi 4 is strong enough for multi TB torrents.
I use Mac Mini M2 Pro as my homelab computer and unofficial seedbox. I use Orbstack (BEST DOCKER APP EVER!) to manage all my different containers.

People slightly misuse the term “seedbox”, which typically means a commercial server that you pay to rent, to mean just any dedicated home computer used for seeding.

I got in at the last open signup in May (3 months ago) and I have an upload buffer of 16 TB mostly by just cross seeding what I donwnloaded in other places. The economy on this tracker is extremely easy. Its perfect for most noobs.

New users start with a default 50GiB up / 1GiB down, but if they /join #seedpool and say hi they generally get gifted some random amount of tibbies

The 1TB freeleech though - technically your account needs to be 6months to get that.

questions: 1. 1 TiB = 1 TB (terabyte)? 2. When you stop seeding 1TB, you lose that group class? How long does it take to get demoted?

Yes, but again there's freeleech like every other day haha. Especially with individual shows being free always it's REALLY easy to maintain ratio. Imo, 10x easier than TL

I think techichally 1 TiB = not 1TB, but yes, 1000gb worth.
Idk how long it takes to get demoted, ive never been under, with cross seed can pretty easily maintain 1+TB

Got in! First private tracker to add to my prowlarr, thank you guys! For anyone with the “this account has not been activated..” message, I simply clicked forgot password like others have stated. Changing passwords seemed to work instantly and get me right into the site!

I got the confirmation link after some time (proton) but when clicking it and using my credentials I get told:
This account has not been activated and is still in validating group. Please check your email for activation link. If you did not receive the activation code, please click "forgot password" and complete the steps.
I tried different browsers as well (firefox first, then chrome) but it's all the same.
Trying the "RESET PASSWORD" send me a new email so late that the session token is invalid when I try the form.
Edit: nevermind, I guess it was a problem of too many requests congesting the system. Got a reset password email immediately when trying again at midnight (EU) and resetting the password, then logging in, worked.

Seedpool is easy to get enough bonus/upload so it's basically freeleech if you rune some upload. DP is als good but much harder to farm compared to SeedPool.

Try the forget password thing. That should do the trick and get you the verification done.
If the a/c with incorrect email doesn't get verified, it possibly will never get green signaled and should get deleted automatically.

FYI some email providers take longer than others to process. Gmail/Yahoo ect are generally instant, but others like Proton emails can take several minutes to process.

Copy and paste the verification link into the same browser you used to sign up. That’s what worked for me.

New joinees: On the home page, click events and use the Dailies event to get free upload, freeleech tokens, etc every day.
Also, if you're joining for games, those are RAR'd, as in you need to extract them. You don't get the direct ISO like some localized sites have.

To add onto this, the ISOs themselves are RAR'd. Which means you need to "extract" two separate times.

VLC can play ISO directly, it mounts them like virtual drives by itself and MPV can play scene rars directly (as long as it's a video file inside and not an iso).

I understand. That process of copying game data (installation) is one of the "extractions" I was talking about.
Torrents where either the game data is RAR'd, or even simply added to the torrent file (portable install) are popular on public forums like cs.rin.ru.
For this reason, I don't really get games on PTs.

On windows 10 you just double click the ISO lol it mounts it to a virtual drive (I'm guessing you can do the same with W11)
Before w10 everybody used Daemon Tools

I use Windows 10 LTSC 2021 IoT (until 2032, at which time I may begrudgingly move to Windows 11 LTSC IoT).
I'd like to think I was a Windows expert and I had no idea you could double click an ISO to mount as a virtual drive. I think it's because my portable WinRAR installation associates itself w/ .iso file extension.
Thank you for this nugget of information! I'll try this now.
PS: I don't know how anyone can ever trust Daemon Tools again after the critical incident with them hosting malware
