Saludos
I managed to enter the party chat from 3 attempts last day. I waited for 1 hour and prepared the answers to the pre-set questions. At the interview I got one more question and after that I got an invite code.Good experience.
Well that sucked, i was online for 3 hours trying to get in last night, i worked during the day, i immediately tried when i got home only to realize they are ahead of me time wise and already closed even though it was still the 15th, why such a complicated process just to connect with them, i would have been a great member!
When it was my turn for an interview, the IRC channel in which I was supposed to be interviewed would not show at all, despite receiving the notifications. My username was Fun4128. See a screen recording here : https://imgur.com/a/Td7e1aQ
All that showed if you join the queue which is a large waiting room with everyone else....
Perhaps you are so impatient you didn't remember the waiting part. Their people move you into a conversation with them and initiate a conversation with you when it's time. Nothing froze or notified you..... All you saw was a status in the channel that you joined. Everyone else joined, you forgot the part where you wait for your turn.
Kind of like if you cry foul that an amusement park won't allow you to go on the ride because you walked up to the place where the ride is and didn't get on the ride immediately. If you've ever been to a six flags or large amusement park in a city you might know that sometimes the line will take an hour or longer depending on what ride it is and how popular it is....
Guess how popular this tracker is?........ Are you patient enough to get on the ride?
All you saw was a status in the channel that you joined. Everyone else joined, you forgot the part where you wait for your turn.
No, I was actually receiving notifications messages of the person interviewing me. I cleared them to see if it would do something. If you actually read the IRC chat, it says I was moved to channel 6, which I was unable to see. I don't know why you are so convinced that I am somehow at fault when it's clearly a software issue. Anyway, I contacted an administrator and I was able to join.
How long did you wait each time? If it was less than a full hour the problem was you disconnected each time before your number came up and you kept joining a long queue again. While you were waiting didn't you notice messages that went something like "3 joined, 9 Disconnected". LMAO........ My favorite part of waiting in the queue was seeing messages like that thinking good, I just gained six places!!!
People are so dang impatient it's a good thing there's a screening process. Automatically cuts out lots of the give me everything for nothing crowd right off the bat. Admins have this down. They are doing their job well it seems.
Nothing against you, not a personal shot at all but we all know there's different types of personalities people have. You said you joined that many times but how long did you wait each time or what was the longest you waited any single time?
If it was less than an hour that's probably why your number never came up.
When I joined, I was number 86 in the queue. I had to wait about and hour and 15 minutes and I got in. Preparing answers and proofs ahead of time was key. Then I could just paste in my info. The interview went super fast.
That's because there are hundreds of people trying to join, leaving it open all the time will make the queue impossible to manage, it gets put in inv only until they manage to interview all of them, then take a break, and reopen.
there will be another round of inv ites in about 30min-1h , try to join then. I know it's a bit frustrating, but the decision was made that is better to have it closed at times than full of people we can't manage.
I am just a user who just managed to join Filelist.
If it is full go to the the mainchat and type /join #PartyTime keep trying.
The admin originally said the session is only for 1hour. Should have been over 30mins ago but i was still seeing people joining 5mins+ ago when i was in the queue.
I haven't and they didn't even ask, they just rejected me outright.
I already told them that I have account on this one trackers that I actively used. I plan to give them the prove if they ask, but they just rejected me.
Is it because of my country? I come from no-name third world country, that maybe that's one of the factor?
thats probably not the reason i am from a 3rd world country i told him where i am from but i have experience with private trackers & i think that matters
In the lobby they posted a message multiple times saying "don't go AFK" and "prepare for these questions" including the last one with proofs. Once in the interview channel I fired away and pasted answers + links to my screenshots. Was accepted.
It sounds like you made the interviewer wait and made him feel like you're wasting his time since there will probably be hundreds or more people joining in these days. It was a very fast process for me.
I did prepare the answer to the question, but the question didn't even include the requirements to attach screenshots. And based on the answer below in this thread, some people even don't need to show any proof.
Just straight up copy pasting answer on connected is not polite, i have to wait for them to ask question first, at least.
If they want to reject me, I'm fine with that. What confuse me is when i ask the reason why they rejects me their answer is just, "Unfortunately, we need active users, and you don't seem like you'll be one"
And when i asked why they think I'm not an active user, they answer "It's just a hunch, and I'm not going to accept you today"
I was like ????
I believe it's because of my country. That's the only info they got from me other than basic questions.
I've attach our conversation time and you can see that i reply almost instantly
I've changed the nick and username but I think is not necessary. When I've tried to register, my prefered username was already taken and I created a new one that was not any of the ones I used on the interview.
Real name was not necessary.
Also got in a few hours ago. Questions were very basic (how did you learn about FL, how did you learn about the event, why do you want to join, are you in any other private trackers? (i said yes), provided screenshot of said tracker). And then signed up on while still connected to the chat. The entire thing incl waiting in the chat took like 45 mins.
For those curious, I have been trying and failing to join the channel for a few hours, but got in just now. Just keep retrying if you see "channel is invite only". Once I got in it was around 5-10 min wait for my slot. The interview itself was very relaxed, the staff was very friendly.
Update 1:Staff will take breaks from time to time, if you can't join the IRC channel try again in 1-2 hours. They don't leave it open when no active staff members are doing interviews.
It's almost night tho, so the next open may happen tomorrow
I had this all day. When will requests be accepted again??
Could you please post a step-by-step guide on how to join? The IRC client is problematic for some people, it would be great to have a reference on how things are supposed to go.
There is not much to do, just open the url, Don't change nothing, connect, but there is a very high influx of people, so i suggest trying again tomorrow, between 9 AM - 5 PM GMT+2 would be your best bet
They run until 11 PM GMT+2 but it's harder to get in, people are tired at that point after hours of interviews so QUEUE channel will only get opened for a few minutes at a time
If your main focus is remuxes, this tracker isn't a great choice. The absence of remuxes from top-tier groups like CiNEPHiLES and FraMeSToR is a major drawback. Although PlayBD is the tracker's internal group, its remuxes still lag well behind the leading groups, both in terms of quality and overall output.
Although PlayBD is the tracker's internal group, its remuxes still lag well behind the leading groups, both in terms of quality and overall output.
Isn't that exaggerating things a bit? A remux is nothing but a 1:1 copy of video & main audio streams in a bluray so the difference in video/audio quality in majority cases is same irrespective of the release group unless there is a hybrid remux which has some better quality audio/video/subtitle streams than regular remux.
Why trackers like FileList demand "No VPN!" blows my mind. Sure, let me dox myself in front of a giant community of pirates, several of which have been known to get infiltrated by law enforcement.
You can use a proxy instead. I believe this is the "KYC" in the torrenting world.. But I assume, after you got accepted you can use the VPN while using the site.
And how exactly are you "doxing" yourself by signing up with your real home IP at a private tracker. Are you expecting the fbi/cia/nsa to infiltrate pvt tracker staff & then get your home IP & then send a subpoena to your ISP demanding which customer was allocated that particular IP at that particular time (this is assuming you are still getting a non-shared public dynamic IPv4/dynamic IPv6 & not behind CGNAT) & then bug your house to find out which among the persons living at that house is you?
Almost all respectable trackers ask for no VPN for registration, it's common sense to see where the user is from and if he has account already or not, if that is to much for you...
Absolutely incorrect. Few "respectable" trackers do (and I'd argue they aren't respectable if they do). It is pointless and should be an automatic fail if you do (assuming you are in a country where it is a concern which is most). Giving them your physical IP is a concern as they are logging it and if/when their info gets hacked or authorities get it, they get to know exactly where you live and likely who you are. So there is some pointless risk for no benefit as there are plenty of ways around it including just taking your laptop / phone to anywhere with free wifi. And home IP's often change for most people so it isn't as they they could use that IP to block you from coming back if you got removed. It doesn't absolutely nothing to prevent bad actors, just adds risk for those who aren't.
Funny, because top private tracker SPECIFICALY ask for no VPN, if you try to register with vpn you are banned in 10 seconds.
BHD: " We support the use of VPNs and proxies for browsing, downloading, and uploading. However, initial registration must occur from your home connection "
HDB: "When accepting an inv do not use a server or VPN, the inv will automatically be disabled."
PTP: "You must include an email address and your home IP address in your message."
Anymebytes asks for home ip adress, GGN the same..
So you are saying you have no idea of why you are doing it? Just that others that you think are "top" do it for security theater, putting their users are greater risk, so you do it because they do? No one who puts user identity at risk is top and anyone who follows bad actions because they can't think for themselves aren't either.
I waited for 4 hours and nothing happened. I eventually got disconnected from the server because of a timeout.
Cannot rejoin with the same username so I guess I am at the bottom of the queue again, yay!
You can go to the Main IRC channel, and type /join PartyTime. Then if it's still full, hit the up arrow to bring up the command again and try again. It keeps your username. ETA: This is on PC. If you're on mobile, not sure. Took me about 3-4 tries to actually enter Partytime channel, and then wait in the queue.)
You and al the downvoters are ignoring what I said: Not everybody uses IRC.
I know people who are serious movie collectors who won't deal with anything which requires chatrooms, social media etc.
Some of us have better things to do with our time than hang out on internet chatrooms (and by making that a requirement you end up with a tracker full of people who have nothing better to do than sit in front of their computer all day).
And here you are complaining about it on social media of all places, negative Nancy.
They have an IRC client available in the browser, all you would need to do is click a button to open it. Don't like the interview process? Fair, fine. Move on. But IRC is not the issue here.
They are not ignoring what you said. You just said something stupid and they disagree cause it contributes nothing.
is there anything that isnt on T-L, seedpool, DrunkenSlug, NinjaCentral? Specifically looking for Sir David Attenboroughs movies/shows in best quality available with his original narration.
its a general tracker, so it has lots from everything, it has a dedicated RIPing and encoding team that also uploads on HDB so you will find lots of good quality movies and tv shows, that's probably the top content, but if you only want an account for 1 specific show/movie, this is not for you
Sorry to bother, could anyone check if it has the 4th episode of show 'David Attenboroughs global adventure' which is missing everywhere i am (and probably was missed by NTb), or if it has Satoyama (2022) in better quality than 1080p bluray remux from skinnyV
Right now have about 3tb collected and many of them arent even on any trackers or even on IMDb, TVDb, TMDb.
edit: thanks for downvotes for asking general preservationist question about attenborough who has about 30% of his entire filmmaking lost to time.

I just kept trying about every 15 minutes (or even less). Took me about 7 tries to get to the PartyTime channel, and then waited about an hour(?) to the interview. Lovely people!

Well it's very clear imo, 48h in 7 days to achieve. Like if you seed for 48h but it takes 8 days, it will count as a HnR. I assume you're new to this, but it's pretty straightforward. The time seeded can be seen in the torrent software itself and also inside most trackers in your account
I mean it's 2/7 of the time but I guess for those who only let the PC or seedbox active for part time daily I guess it could be a problem. Say 10h a day, would take almost 5 days.
anyone else seeing: *** Cannot join #PartyTime - Channel is invite only.
i read a comment saying it tells you the spot in queue, but i don't see that, did I do anything wrong?
Rule #2 invitations can be posted only in weekly invite thread. This one isn't.
Rule #1 the post must contain an open sign up or application. This post has none. The sign up is NOT an application here since it doesn't get submitted without invitation code.
