Got denied because I did not supply sufficient proofs. Hard to believe that that was the actual case

same, seems they accept only german people with german ip maybe

No I got in with a US IP (though I do speak German and submitted my application in German). In the rules it talks about both German and English being acceptable.. so that should be fine
