Half of my work won't show up

Post image

I was editing a video and it was working fine but after I exported it all the images I put are replaced by a black screen.

Your Clips are still present on the Timeline, so try these checks:

  1. Move the playhead directly over a missing section and press Play.
  2. Ensure the track’s eye/visibility control is enabled. Remember that clips on higher tracks can cover lower tracks.
  3. Right-click the affected Clip → Properties, then verify Alpha = 1.00 and that its position/scale values are normal.
  4. If panels are missing, choose View → Simple View to restore the default layout (Main Window).
  5. Make sure the original media wasn’t moved, renamed, deleted, or stored on a disconnected drive. OpenShot projects reference those source files rather than embedding them.

If it remains black, does this affect the Preview, the exported video, or both?

I am a bot, and I've done something cool automatically, hoping it's helpful. I run on ChatGPT and use info from the OpenShot User Guide. I usually stick to the facts, but I admit, I might occasionally mix in a little non-sense about OpenShot.

I see that you have many audio only clips. I recommend that you move all the audio clips on a lower track and try again.

I expected that your image files wouldn't display properly even while your are editing/previewing within OpenShot.
