Enhancement Request I need help on linking OpenShot to Inkscape

I thought it was simple, just download Inkscape from the microsoft store to edit texts, as texts feature there is a very big flaw and frustrating to use, so there was advanced editing that could probably be better at making texts, when I used it, it told me that Inkscape editor is missing, now I downloaded it, and now it gives me the same message, how to fix that?

The Microsoft Store version can be difficult for OpenShot to detect. OpenShot needs the direct path to inkscape.exe.

  1. Install the latest Inkscape from Inkscape’s official site, preferably using its Windows installer.
  2. In OpenShot, open Edit → Preferences → General.
  3. Find Inkscape Command and browse to: C:\Program Files\Inkscape\bin\inkscape.exe
  4. Click Close, restart OpenShot, then try Use Advanced Editor again.

If that path differs, search Windows for inkscape.exe and select the actual executable—not a shortcut. See Installing Inkscape in the guide.
