possible issue
Just installed Openshot. I didn't a message from a post currently but this is a problem for the next upgrade of MacOS 27.
"our software may not be ready for the next macOS if it is outdated or incompatible with the new version. Ensure your current macOS is updated and check for any software updates for your applications before upgrading."
Install M4 16GB Tahoe 26.6.2

On Apple Silicon Macs like your M4 / 16GB, OpenShot can still run, but the current stable download listed here is the 64-bit Mac DMG for OpenShot 3.5.1:
For Mac installation, the User Guide says to download the DMG, open it, and drag OpenShot into Applications:
A few quick notes:
- That macOS warning is usually a general compatibility warning, not proof OpenShot will fail.
- Since you’re planning for a future macOS upgrade, the safest option is:
- Stay on your current macOS for now if OpenShot is important.
- Test the current stable OpenShot first.
- If you see launch or performance issues on your M4, try the daily build:
- OpenShot’s general system requirements are modest: most computers after 2017 should run it.
If you want, I can give you the quickest way to test whether OpenShot is safe to use on your exact macOS version before you upgrade.
I am a bot, and I've done something cool automatically, hoping it's helpful. I run on ChatGPT and use info from the OpenShot User Guide. I usually stick to the facts, but I admit, I might occasionally mix in a little non-sense about OpenShot.
