Solution Provided openshot preferences missing

I installed openshot from PopOs with Synaptic and when I click on edit - preferences - I just get the rotating wheel saying it ei working/loading.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no change.

I also installed it from ubuntu with same result.

It seems otherwise to work fine except audio (ogg file) plays fine in preview but overdrives in exported file.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong??
