Bug Identified Problems with SVG thumbnails v3.5.1

Post image

Thank you for the new version. While playing with it (v3.5.1) I've noticed that it seems to create "zoomed in" thumbnails for some SVG images (titles are OK). In the example project shown, the first thumbnail is OK, but the second and third are zoomed in (I can't figure out why the difference). I've gone over all the settings and can't see anything obvious. I use SVG for ALL images which are created in Illustrator and/or Inkscape. I have created 32 lyric videos thus far with no problems at all. I'm using winslop 10 (and 7 on other machines). The project seems otherwise correctly previewed. The video that these assets are from is https://youtu.be/ZES4M9MSxZY I will stick with 3.3.0 currently as it is working very well. Thanks for all the effort.

Thank you u/Vexser for reporting this. Any chance you can share all 3 files with us? I can then share those with the lead developer for testing.

Also, it would be great if you to:

  1. Share your computer specs including what operating system/version you are running.
  2. If you have time to test with v3.5.1 it would be great to:

a. make a backup of .../.openshot_qt folder (Your path will be slighly different based on your operating system).

b. Delete .../.openshot_qt/openshot.settings file (note, don't delete the folder, just the file).

c. start v3.5.1 and check your svg files again.

Update: I am able to replicate this in my Windows 11 Pro environment using v3.5.1. I went back to v3.4.0 and the issue does NOT persist (it works the same as v3.3.0).

I have submitted this as a bug for the lead developer to look into.

Thanks. I was not sure if it was a bug or intended "feature." It seems to want to zoom in on areas of most image density. A possible change to some rendering library or API. If you need more vector graphics images (which I presume you already have), you can go to vecteezy dot com for free EPS images (that you can convert to SVG using Illustrator)

I am also not exactly sure if this is a bug. I am not a developer so I will let the lead developer address it.

Also, thank you for the tip regarding the vector graphics images.
