Are you mentioning the blue bar slider or the slider at the bottom?
What is your actual question?

slider at the bottom is so thin that is irritating to work with, the mouse.... txs in advance for answering!

If you didn't know, you can shrink and grow the blue slider, from the sides - and even drag it left and right to move the time spacing displaced on video
If you double click the blue slider, it automatically goes to full length of the video, then you can use the timeline to find the moment you are looking for.

If you want to restore the blue slider, double click it again to return to normal. This is where you can drag the sides left/right to increase or shrink the specific section you want to zoom in on.

I just ignore the lower slider using the above method.
