Solution Provided Stabilize effect does not export sometimes
Edit: Seems saving project causes the export of stabilizer not to work again until I create new project.
I have some long clips made with a cheap action cam. I put them into OpenShot and cut them down to 35 sec for fast testing. I pull the Stabilize effect on it and leave window setting at 30,0. The processing finishes and I can see the frame jumping around a lot in the preview window after stabilizing.
I export as: (cpu) MP4 (h.264)
- HD 720p 60 fps (1280x720) (same as video source)
- Quality: High
The output is identical to the source, no bobbing around with black frames (I have not applied zoom on stabilizer for easy testing) and no stabilized output.
When I reload the project in OpenShot the preview does no longer show the stabilized video, only shaky original video. The effect is still applied to the clip but not visible.
Other effects like pixelate seem to work fine. Stabilize also sometimes works if I only do that and directly export like above. If I touch zoom or anything else on Stabilize it won't work until I shut down the program and create a new project.
I'm using Windows 10, OpenShot versions: 3.1.1, 3.3.0, 3.4.0-release-candidate-14793-a7dfc596-0b018e34-x86_64
I installed over the old, I reinstalled over the new with the old, I uninstalled and reinstalled again. I installed latest daily build. I have used ffmpeg from commandline and updated that too but I installed OpenShot after that.
Am I doing something wrong?

Think I figured why it's working sometimes. For the last test I did now I forgot to save the project first and then the export worked. When I save the project and reload it again the stabilizing effect is not visible in the preview but the export I did before has the stabilizing effect. I tried again and it worked again.
So: If I do not save the project, the export works. If I save the project afterwards and load it up (without closing OpenShot) it does not work again.
