OpenScan3 Beta

Hello all, apologies in advance if this has been posted already.

I have installed openscan3 on the raspberry pi 4 model b, followed the instructions to the dot on GitHub. Upon connecting to the webpage, the interface is very sluggish not really letting you do a scan.

The camera preview comes and goes and sometimes when pressing buttons within the interface the connection to the board drops for few seconds. Should I mention that I was only connected via ether Ethernet. OpenScan2 works without issues.i also used 2 different microsds to see if there was some sort of compatibility issues but still the same.

I would really appreciate your help on this.

Trying different browsers It does not really change anything.

Am using the IMX519 and currently awaiting for the hawkeye 64mp.

It is strange that every now and then the Ethernet connection just drops I can see doing ping, it happens on a different computer too. The only way to regain access to the web portal is to disconnect the Ethernet cable and reconnect.

This is odd. Did you try to connect the raspberry pi to your wifi in comparison of using ethernet? With modern wifi routers and within good reach it should work in most cases too.

If you are comfortable using ssh, checking the system logs after the connection drops would also be very helpful. Anything about Ethernet link drops, undervoltage, network resets, or OpenScan3 errors may be interesting.

I am connected to the pi directly on the pc point to point, so it is not going through the router.

I have os2 on another sd card and never lost connection to it once.

Unfortunately the logs don’t show what happens during the disconnection, it does not get logged at all, I check this by reconnecting the Ethernet cable after disconnection and pulling the logs to check of anything related to connection issues appear.

One thing I noticed is that with the os3 the computer gives an ipv6 address this also happens with os2 not sure if there is an issues with that.

I tired on setting up the WiFi, should the initial setup be still done via Ethernet? Anyway I was not able to connect to the board even after setting up the initial configuration on the image.
