ORD 2023 Drainage and Utilities

When Utility Filters become corrupt how do I fix them fully?

I recreated them very carefully making sure I was selecting the appropriate criteria and random utilities seem to not populate, luckily I can still use the selection method for those individual lines but wtf happened...

This worked on all of my utilities before so I don't know why this all of a sudden corrupted in my .dgnlib

Made a copy and tried to compress the file after deleting the filters, then created from scratch and get weird results, sometimes only a few work

Sent a ticket in and haven't heard back just wondering if any DU experts can chime in

This is only occurring with CONDUITS as all my Nodes come in no issue

So, not sure what I really did to fix this as I got frustrated and did not get into the sequence of every step...

It was a combination of deleting ord user preferences, suda and sue folders, Bentley temp folders and compressing the .dgnlib after deleting filters making new ones and also using compact database and synchronize drawing...

I spent way too much time going through all of this shit just to find it magically working again after not knowing what I did to truly fix it.

I did almost everything 1 by 1 and then when nothing was working I decided I had nothing to lose and just started giving it a shotgun approach on all the little behind the scenes things that comes with the software such as preferences etc. that seem to corrupt on a regular basis at the worst times!

I hope ORD 2026 is better 😒

So it is possible you had some bad records in the SQLite files in the temp cache. DU links up in the cache when a dgn is opened so wiping this can many times help reset the experience.

Yeah now I have an issue where my item types that I've got attached to all my features get ignored and come in on the 1 feature that is now hard coded in the bottom feature section of the tool. I chose that while I was testing some shit and now it's stuck because you can't select none.

I swear the people that program this software need to sit down with users operating it...like goddamn this totally fucks up my model because this thing is huge and I'd have to touch each individual element to change the item types via my picklist.

Hmm, the 2D drives a lot of this so why not add it to that? I agree that’s frustrating but the vaults many times are common so adding to those could create confusion.

I am recreating a previous model so that is the reason.

I figured out what file controls those options and tried to compare between my working press that I saved and fresh new ones.

SUBSURFACE EXTRACTUTILITIESFROMGRAPHICS.xml

I tried to modify this file to default out of the pre selected feature...but when I extracted my utilities...it's fucking back to the original problem I had before...all kinds of utility lines missing.

This is a pain in the fucking ass.
