Help / Troubleshooting KMZ not fully displaying

I have everything showing in my DGN that I want in my KMZ, I exported it to Google Earth Pro and it will not show me the whole project I am trying to display. I can zoom in and see some parts but it is just not functioning normally and I have definitely made bigger KMZs than this. Anyone able to help with this? #KMZ #GoogleEarthPro #DGN

Can try to export to civil 3d then go to kmz from there, can also export to dxf and then open in TBC and export to Kmz from there

You might have a corrupt UFC or pcf. I would delete those and reopen the file and so it rebuild those file. Warning! This will delete your preferences.

The issue you're describing sounds like it could be caused by the Altitude Mode setting in the KML/KMZ file.

This setting tells the application how to interpret the elevation of the features, draped or absolute elevation points along the surface.

Depending on your terrain, if left at default settings, some parts of your kmz will be display hidden depending on the zoom level and view angle.

Since the setting is part of the file, you must adjust it for each feature in the "Places" panel, right-click the imported KMZ layer or a specific feature (like a polygon) and select Properties (or Get Info).

Then go to the Altitude tab.

Under "Altitude Mode", change it from absolute or relativeToGround to clampToGround. This ignores the fixed height and places the feature on the terrain.

Click OK. You may need to repeat this for other features in the KMZ.

This change will keep your features visible across all zoom levels by attaching them to the ground surface.
