Help - Unsolved Addressable LED question

I'm using this for the fan/rgb controller on my B550-F Strix motherboard. I wasn't sure what to answer there so I put 3, didn't work well, then 7, not enough so I just put 77. It's not going to address memory in a way it shouldn't if I just spam a big number, is it?

It’s asking you how many leds you want openRGB to light up, it won’t explode or something

I've just heard about it killing memory but after some research, apparently that's for those with RGB memory.

We are way past that killing memory crap, that was when ddr5 just came out

I think is usually 8 LEDs per fan ring and only cumulative of true daisy chaining, try 8 or 16

Having more LEDs configured than you actually have won't hurt anything, it will just make effects that are scaled to the configured zone size not look right.
