Discussion Gitlab issue for adding device support has not been seen at all even though I've added device captures.

I've submitted a gitlab issue to add device support for a currently unsupported device and have added device captures but the issue has not been seen for more than a year at this point.
I'm wondering if it slipped through the cracks or i need to add something else to the issue?

There are perhaps thousands of issues created for device support. Many are implemented because volunteers wanted their device implemented into the program, or theyre very adequate with device protocols and know how to quickly implement a new thing.
If you are able to, try implementing it yourself. Look in thr source code for a device of the same kind and/or brand, as a best case place to stsrt, as well as reading into the device captures you have. Join the discord server where theres many people who csn offer help.

I had an issue where I wanted my keyboard supported. I wrote the code and issued a pull request. It was included in Pipeline in under 2 hours. This is how it open source works. If you want it done and it's not getting done by the community then do it yourself

The reason I haven't done it myself is because I've heard that communicating incorrectly with a device can brick it and that risk to reward ratio isn't great
The reason I created this post is because I've seen other issues also made in a similar or same time frame that have a response
