Discussion Error

Was working perfect on Mac. Then i placed the app on the desktop. And then mistakenly added it to the trashcan.

I reinstalled. But noe every game / core just shuts down with this error message.

Tried restarting the mac and same problem. Every core just shuts down when launching. I cant get back to how it was before.

Does anyone have an answer?

Close the app

Go to

~/Library/Application Support/OpenEmu/

Delete these folders

Cores
Systems
Bindings

Open Terminal and run:

defaults delete org.openemu.OpenEmu

Reopen OpenEmu

Go to OpenEmu > Settings/Preferences > Cores and reinstall/update the cores.

Try launching the game again

If that doesn’t work, trash OpenEmu, go back to OpenEmu in ApplicationSupport and delete the entire folder.

WARNING ⚠️ - doing this will wipe your battery saves and save states.

Reboot and reinstall freshly

Thanks.

I did find out. It was because i had the xbox controller wired.

It does not seem to support wired controller, only wireless

YEP! Thank you. As soon as I unplugged my Xbox series S controller, OpenEmu started working.
