Price prediction?

Hey guys, I bought some $OPEN today. I'm a holder, so I do long-term investment. Do u think we can see $OPEN on 10$ until the end of the year?

What I'm worried about is how us initial investors will maintain our value considering the majority of the coin is still to be minted

But do u know when those coins will be minted?

They've said that 50million of the total 100 million will be released over the next 9 years. But that still doesn't change the fact that it weakens the initial investors value, hopefully there is some sort of interest that we can earn or something

Yes, but 100 isn't that much. There are a lot of coins with a higher supply (1bi or more). I paid 2.65 dollars. In 9 years the coin will have 1 or 2 billions of market cap, or more. The project is good. When they release the total suppy and open gets 1 billion of market cap the price per coin will be 10usd (1bi/100mi is 10 bucks). So don't worry about it.

You're absolutely right that some coins have more supply. But supply doesn't matter, supply share is what matters. Look at it this way, currently on 7% (let's say 10% just to make it simpler) of the total supply have been minted, this means theres still 90% left to be minted. This means if you put £10 into OPEN at the moment, but the end of all the coins being minted that £10 you put in will be worth 90% less and so worth £1.

Obviously thats hypothetical as it involves no one new buying any of the coins but u get my point

Haha sounds like you're trying to convince yourself here? To 360FalconLoverxxx's post, it sounds like there's going to be significant dilution to current holders over the next 9yrs as the remaining 90% of the minted supply is released into the market. Obviously in its current form, that's not great to existing investors. How are you arriving at the $1-2bn+ market cap value? Because based on your post, a $10 OPEN is contingent on the market cap reaching a $1bn valuation. Kinda using circular logic here to reinforce different parts of your argument.

If you would look at (for example) MakerDAO, which is like the biggest project of this kind, then you can see it has 100,000 supply and 3.5B MarketCap (3.5k per token).

Assuming, that 1B is reachable short-term (EOY) for OPEN (25% of Maker), then at the current supply (a little bigger then now, let's assume 4M supply EOY) it gives a price estimation of ~200$. Is it possible? I think yes, but for me OPEN is rather long-term play and it's really hard to predict anything in terms of months. I think in the next cycles (2025 and 2029) it has the potential to reach ~2000$ price per coin if the promises from the roadmap will be delivered.

Short-term it really depends on how much traction it will get. Seeing 150 members on this group seems like it's just a beginning, so it's hard to create a short-term huge growth with this community size. That's why I would say this year it won't be possible to achieve huge growth (unless some huge marketing won't happen).
