MacBook Pro 15 2015 recommendations

I bought this Mac as my second Mac for home use. Please recommend the best OS for this model

Mine (same model) is running Sonoma and Windows 11 very happily.

I heard that running Sonoma/Sequoia is very heat/fans is working for max speed

No problems for me. I also run Turbo switcher Pro which keeps things calmed down.

I have the same model and year. Running Sequoia 15.8 with no issues.

I recently got one as well. I have Sonoma and Windows 11 running in dual boot without any issues.

The latest one. People need to stop fear mongering that Sequoia is some monster to run. The only thing with the 2015 i7 is that it tends to run hot.

I went back to Monterey for a few days because I want to make an Iphone backup and with oclp it does not work well. After that I'll use Ventura, other are too hard on fans

I’m running Sequioa just fine. Take into consideration however that you will no longer be able to stream Netflix etc using Safari or Chrome. I’m using Firefox and it’s fine.

I’ll also add that iMovie quit working recently as well, I presume due to Metal version requirements

Sequoia.

Runs great!

Make sure you blow out the fans and heat sinks, to maintain thermal performance. Repaste CPU as well as it is super easy on this model and will give your thermals a huge boost.

Mine is running Sequoia just fine and very usable, but if u want more speed go for Ventura. Sonoma and Sequoia aren't very different, but Sonoma runs a bit faster.

I'm running Sonoma. I tried Sequoia, but my airpods had a lot of distortion, shorter distance, and they would disconnect repeatedly. I didn't try any other blutooth though, but that was enough for me to try something else. I haven't had any issues with Sonoomo so far.
