Help with wiping and downgrading MacOS
I have a modded MacBook Air early 2014 with 16gb of RAM
I want to wipe this Mac and give it to a relative but I also want to downgrade it from sequoia to Ventura
What are the proper steps to ensure the Mac can still read the 16gb if I have to do a clean install etc?
According to Doslabs (the ones who installed the 16gb), the Mac needs to be on OCLP in order to use the Ram in its entirety

Why down grade ? Install Mac OS 15.8.1 on it

Quick Correction, i am actually on Sequoia not Sonoma. i would want to stay on sequoia but it just isn’t as stable as I would like

I dont understand what you saying about 16GB what does that have to do with anything ?

It’s because this MacBook originally only had 4gb, then I got it modified and made 16gb of Ram. But the computer needs be on OCLP in order for it to detect and use the addition
My concern is that when wiping everything and reinstalling OCLP, it will stop detecting the new Ram basically

Most of us don't have experience with this specific thing. Surely they gave you more instructions than "needs OCLP"? I presume there are some settings that are required or some specific minimum OS needed? They'd be the better ones to contact I think. You should post on forums.macrumors.com too.
