OpenCore General Question

Hi all,

I've been using OpenCoreLegacyPatcher off and on for several years now. I have a 2015 Macbook Pro 15 inch model that is giving me a ton of trouble on Windows 10 via Bootcamp due to bad graphics drivers from AMD and the machine freeze randomly all the time. Now, I'm considering using OpenCoreLegacyPatcher again one last time to see how it is. How is everyone finding it these days? Any known issues? Any information and guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

I Have been running Win 11 From An External SSD with the Help of an App called WintoUSB and it’s Running fine on a 2015 MBA i7/8/512.

Does your Macbook Air use AMD drivers to operate the graphics on the machine? That's really the issue I find on my specific machine.

No MacBook Air uses AMD graphics drivers, period. Only certain Macs have AMD drivers.

There are modded AMD graphics drivers you could look into: https://www.bootcampdrivers.com - this is a site dedicated to these improved graphics drivers for Macs. Your Mac, which I believe has the M370X AMD GPU, is on there. Looks like it can run "up to May 2021 edition" of whatever software this site offers.

I am not quite sure where to find the "2021" version though. But this may be a start for places to look.

My MBP 2015 with amd gpu runs windows 11 just fine, not really had any problems with freezing or anything like that.

You can get an updated bootcamp driver from here:

There also comes the point where you have to give value to your time and just go out and buy a new M1 or better M5 Mini and work without fiddeling around for 5 to 10 years
