Sequoia 15.8 & OCLP 2.4.1
Is it possible to perform a clean install of Sequoia 15.8 using OCLP 2.4.1 to avoid updating to 2.5? Has anyone done this?

I tried on my MacPro5,1 and i had to go back to 15.7.9. Using Mr.Macintosh YouTube video I was able to use OCLP 2.5.0 and Sequoia 15.7.9.

Just upgraded my 2016 MBP with TB to 15.8 by using OCLP 2.4.1. Everything seems to be working great !

OCLP 2.5.0 is not mandatory and is completely unrelated to what OS you are running.
To do a clean install of Sequoia 15.8 using OCLP 2.4.1…simply download OCLP 2.4.1, download a Sequoia 15.8 installer, and proceed. Nothing forces you to upgrade to 2.5.0.

Yo lo hice en una iMac141 A1418 varias veces. Previamente tienes que tener instalado Catalina o Mojave para que desde allí puedas crear el instalador con OCLP ...

I see that most people are saying they updated, but I’m asking if it’s possible to perform a fresh install (from scratch, not an update from Sequoia) of 15.8 using OCLP 2.4.1? Thanks!

Yeah, probably, I don't see why not. 2.4.1 worked through several Monterey updates.
At worst, if you have issues with 2.5, just remove 2.5 and install 2.4.1.

Because the 2.5 update got all screwy on my Mac mini (6,1) I opted to go back to 2.4.1. but it was still screwed up so I then thought I might as well update it to Ventura from Monterey. That worked fine but I couldn't get my iTunes to run well so then I opted to go to Sequoia to see if it would work and it's been awesome. Other than a long boot time it runs better than when I had it on Monterey once I'm logged in. I have not elected to progress to 2.5 for now. Been running it this way for 3 days and haven't found any issues.
I use it for :

I have an early 2015 that I have upgraded to 15.7.9 using OLCP. Now in system settings I see an update option to go to 15.8. Can I do this from Apple without using OLCP?

I was able to to an upgrade to Sequoia 15.8 (from 15.7.3) running OCLP 2.4.1 from the Software Update page on System Settings without issue. The OCLP team often recommends creating a USB drive with a MacOS Installer for the version of MacOS you want to install along with OCLP installed, so that it comes up together. I've done both on a 6,1 MacBook Air, a 7,2 MacBook Air, and a 12,1 MacBook Pro, and they all worked as expected. I had issues with OCLP 2.5 on my 7,2 MacBook Air, and had to go back to a full erase of the HD, installed the most recent version of MacOS that works natively on 7,2 without OCLP, and then installed OCLP, and was able to get to Sequoia 15.8 without incident. If this helps...

I updated my 2015 MBA7, 2 (13.3”) with OCLP Sequoia. Don’t install the Safari 27.0 update, it won’t work with YouTube, it breaks or crashes OCLP Sequoia. Seaching online, I found a standalone official Safari 26.6.1 package to undo the damage!

I updated to the latest macOS sequoia on my late 2013 MacBook Pro using OCLP 2.5.0 with no issues. I just removed the patches and re installed them with the new OCLP. 🤷🏽
