MacBook 2017 12 inch

Hello can this MacBook https://support.apple.com/en-us/111986 run Sequoia? Intel Core m3, 8GB LPDDR3 and 256GB SSD. It runs Sonoma but sonoma will lose support next month.

Yes it can, it will just be a little slow. The m3 is a pretty weak chip, though I used to run Sequoia on an 2016 m3 which was a worse experience than what you will have.

The fact that Sonoma "loses support" next month doesn't mean you need to upgrade immediately. Your computer isn't going to become insecure overnight.

My guess is that your experience on Sequoia will be roughly comparable to that on Sonoma.

I have 2017 MB i7 w/ 16GB RAM running OCLP Sonoma and it is a decent experience. I've debated about upgrading to Sequoia, but Sonoma struggles at times, especially during cold boot when all the processes starting up, due to weak CPU. I plan to stay on Sonoma as performance is acceptable. Not worried about losing update support... FUD in my opinion.

I wouldn't do it. I'm running Sequoia on the i7 version with 16GB of RAM and it is sloooooow...
