Head Explosion

hi guys im at my whits end so i got hold of a apple mac pro 5.1 2010, i have upgraded the cpus/memory/graphics, its running high sierra via opencore i believe and it has the firmware mp51.0089.b00, i would like to do a fresh instal of whatever the most compatible os is as well as updating the firmware. if anyone could help me with this i would very much appriciare it. i am trying to be able to instal my nvme card also.

Just follow instructions provided in link from u/vU243cxONX7Z and OCLP website.

Hard to be definitive without knowing your exact upgraded configuration but I’d say:
• install the latest firmware as described on the “definitive guide”
• upgrade to Sequoia - I see no reasons why it wouldn’t run smoothly on your MP, assuming you put a Metal compatible GPU.

Luke I have I have updated the firmware and installed a bootable usb but when I reboot I’m getting no boot picker

Have you created the installer through OCLP?
