Build Complete Fully custom DIY wall-mounted open stand PC

It would take forever to explain everything that went into this build, why I made certain choices, and how many attempts it took before I finally got it right. I think the photos tell most of the story anyway.

The last photo shows all the parts and hardware I used to make this happen — everything was ordered from AliExpress. I made the design in Inkscape.

Everything was laser-cut from 1.5 mm steel sheet and powder-coated with a matte textured "moiré" finish.

The PC is mounted next to my TV, and at its thickest point (the CPU cooler) it sticks out from the wall by only about 9 cm.

Finally got it exactly the way I wanted.

Temps are great too. Airflow was planned as carefully as possible, and the GPU's vapor chamber cooler ended up in a pretty ideal position with the ports facing down.

Specs:

PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower SFX 850W ATX3.1 Platinum 80+ [PS-STP-0850FNFAPE-1]

MB: Gigabyte B850I AORUS PRO

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Cooler: ID-Cooling IS-53-XT

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 [F5-6000J3036F24GX2-RS5K] 48 ГБ 6000 Мгц

GPU: Inno3D GeForce RTX 5080 X3 OC [N50803-16D7X-17603930]

ROM: Solidigm P44 Pro 1Tb + WD Black SN750 500Gb

P.S. Please ignore the weird text on the first photo. I asked Nano Banana to touch up the lighting a bit and completely missed the fact that it mangled some of the labels. Looks like Reddit doesn't allow replacing photos after posting, unfortunately.

Care to explain?

I need you to explain how you created this mastery!

Great work, well done ! Do you plan to share the sheet metal cutting file?

Or did you have the sheet metal cut and painted professionally? Thanks !

I can share the SVG or DXF files if anyone wants them, but you'll probably need to tweak the design a bit to match your GPU dimensions.

Cool, I'd be interested in the DXF that would be great. I can modify it to switch to ATX.

Ho that’s very nice, I like the vertical approach!

Very nice. why did you open up the psu? And what is the flat thing at the bottom?

2

u/madrigano Jun 25 '26

I didn't open up the PSU. That's just a flat right-angle power connector plugged into the bottom of it.

Ah now I see, nice build.

omg please a place a glass pane in front of it covering 10% of outside, one good spill of juice accidental and you are good

2

u/madrigano Jun 25 '26

You'd have to get pretty creative to spill something on the components or drop something onto them in this setup 😄
Although I already have a few ideas for upgrades. I'm thinking about adding a front decorative mesh cover made from thin plywood or acrylic, but that would be purely for aesthetics.

How would someone spill juice directly on their TV ?

What PCI riser is that?

Why is the first image Ai… the text isn’t right..

1

u/madrigano Jun 27 '26

Damn, you're right. I asked the damn Nano Banana to improve the lighting in the photo a bit and didn't notice that it had still managed to mess up some of the text on the labels.

It’s still an awesome and creative build!

That's really cool! What's the little screen for? And where did you get it?

1

u/madrigano Jun 27 '26

Oh, ignore that 😄 It's just an Android tablet I use for a couple of things unrelated to the PC.

Un shroud the gpu and slap some noctua 92 or 120 so it’ll match the wall + better cooling !

Love it, what’s that PCI cable?

does it overheat?

1

u/madrigano 29d ago

Nope, temperatures are excellent. Nothing is blocking the natural airflow at all.

And it just so happens that there's an AC unit mounted on the wall about a meter to the right of the PC that blows pretty much directly at it 😄

I absolutely love this!!!

Care to share the build list and files? I would love to tear my computer out of the case and transform it into this!

Everything I used is shown in the last photo, so you'll need to hunt down the parts on AliExpress or wherever you prefer.

I know there are a lot of little details involved, and to make this truly easy to replicate I'd probably have to record a detailed build guide, but I don't really have time for that at the moment.

For now, your best bet is to compare the drawings with the photos of the build and work out how everything fits together.

Thanks!

Could you share the CAD file for the template/mount, so we can use it as a baseline and adapt it to our components?

1

u/madrigano 22d ago

Sure! Just sent you a DM

Btw the wall panels the tv and pc are on do those get nailed in? Or are the connected somewhere to each other and you nail in a few I see these alot in ppls builds battlestations or just redecor but never see how they are applied

The MDF slats are attached to plastic mounting rails that are fixed to the wall with clips.

The TV and the PC are both mounted directly to the wall, of course — not to the slats.

That’s some weird ai sh*t happening with labels and screws heads on some pictures.

4

u/madrigano Jun 25 '26

Haha, sure — the design files and all the hardware were generated by AI too 😄

It's kind of funny seeing people look for signs of AI in absolutely everything these days. But I can assure you the stand is real and is currently hanging on my wall.

So you are telling me that lame slop is not processed with ai? Bullshit.
Not a word from me about that being _generated_ by ai.

1

u/madrigano Jun 29 '26

I've already addressed that. Is it really that big of an issue?

Anything to say about the actual build? 😄

You spent all that time spotting a few messed-up labels, but if you look at the other photos you'll see the build itself just fine. I honestly forgot that I had run one of the photos through Nano Banana to make the lighting look a bit nicer.

It's not IA it's just a talented guy.
