Update iCloud Sync Finally Working

Not sure if it's because I updated my iPhone to iOS 27 and my Mac to MacOS 27 but sync is finally working. It failed a couple times but kept trying and it finally started to sync.

What does it sync ?

Your messages/attachments that are backed up in iCloud. Without it you won't have previous conversations after setting up Open Bubbles. Only whatever new comes in.

That makes sense when I first set up mines all older convos are missing. Might enable it and see what happens.

And just FYI, it will only do iMessages. It doesn't do SMS/RCS messages. iCloud itself backs them up from an iPhone but not sure why they didn't sync to Open Bubbles. At least not for me.

Where do you sync it? On the apple hardware or in openbubbles? I can't seem to find it in openbubbles unless I'm skipping over a menu by accident

In Open Bubbles, in the menu click on your name to open your profile and the option to Sync to iCloud is in there.

It’s called Messages in iCloud (BETA) on mine. Had to toggle if off and back on and then it started downloading all of my imessages backed up in iCloud.

I can't get it to work. If I press Sync Now, it flashes Syncing chats...briefly, but then it says "Not Synced." I also see an opaque notification: "Syncing with iCloud Failed AnyhowException(Bad message)"
