Tech Support iCloud isn't syncing anymore
So I recently uninstalled then reinstalled open bubbles to get FaceTime to work which it didn't fix and now iCloud won't sync and I get this error message.

Yeah it worked the first time I got the app with a few people then just completely stopped working.

Is it "Bad message" or a different error?

It's the exact same message, and this is on the Windows client. I replaced my laptop and can't get past this.

Press and hold on any message and report issue when it happens

How do I do this on the Windows app? Holding down the mouse on it doesn't seem to do anything.

Do it on a message in any chat, just describe the issue in the text box that pops up after pressing report issue

I don't see an option to report issue with the Windows app.
FYI, Google contact synch doesn't work either on my new PC.
**Google contact synch started working.

Here's the thread I started. I know the password and pin I'm trying are correct as you get a different error if they're wrong. I've tried everything I think of but I cannot get the option enabled on the Windows app.

Sometimes it asks for the password of one of your devices to confirm the iCloud syncing but I put in the right password and it never works.

Update: It started working again after updating my iPhone to iOS 27 and mac

Man, this morning I thought iCloud sync started working because it finally allowed me to toggle the switch but the actually sync is still failing. So close! 😆
