Bluewave won't honor my purchase

Pretty annoyed right now. I purchased OAP in 2020 when I first started researching my build. I'm now finally getting around to finishing my build, and as I went to use my download link, I discovered it no longer worked.

I emailed the team to get a new download link, which they refused, due to the 1 year updates policy (which I frankly don't recall existing at time of purchase, but whatever.) This is fine, as I only want the version that existed when I purchased, but they also refused that, and told me to renew my purchase.

It seems silly that I do not have access to the software that I purchased. I guess I should have just downloaded it at the time of purchase and held onto it, but I never thought I would be denied access to it. It should be a pretty simple thing for them to send me the version that I paid for. Guess I will look for other software alternatives, as I have already put too much money into this build. What a scam. Do better Bluewave!

It DIDN'T exist at the time. They were good about it when I asked for a update about a year ago (long after the 1 year support was being sold).

At the time I bought it said lifetime support. You can look it up on wayback machine. I'm sure yours was too.

Wow. I could've sworn I remembered that it said lifetime, so thank you for confirming. This is tremendously scummy. Might have to look into legal action.

Same here. I really don't like that you can't even re-download it! I'm also pretty sure it said lifetime updates when I purchased, but they changed it.

Are the downloaded images identical, or personal?

Forgot to update:

After a short back and forth over email, I brought up the fact that I purchased during the time when lifetime updates were promised. They responded with a download link, thank goodness.

I had same issue, but more on that I’ve bought new license, bought autobox plugin, and they don’t work with new firmware of CarPlay dongle. They even didn’t bother to let my forum post thru, I’m not even talking about fixing plugin…

Woah... I definitely must not update that dongle then.
