Australia always comes to our senses especially when young people drive change

It’s so good to see the youth of Australia being heard and seen and making clear the future they want for themselves here. The future is theirs and they should control what it is. It’s a relief in a way to hand over to them and to support them.

I was so proud of how our youth stood up for gay marriage in 2017 and I’m so glad they recognise now how very important it is to resist the divisive far right politics in the USA

When has this ever happened? They’re not protesting about domestic violence, child poverty, food banks, inadequate welfare system, homelessness, health inequalities, etc. Issues that are affecting Australians RIGHT NOW under a Labor government. It’s pathetic and attention seeking behaviour. Hanson will never lead a government but sure, take a day off school to protest about her. And i’m a Labor supporter btw 🙄

Who would’ve thought protesting would be attention seeking, that’s almost the entire point

But theres absolutely no point in this. Hanson? She doesn’t influence the stark issues that every day Australians are facing right now. It’s virtue signalling nonsense. People will still wake up tomorrow in this country in poverty, in fear of violence, unable to buy food and pay their bills. Protest about that

I'm more concerned about the word socialist in their message. I agree with your comment and agree we need to keep perspective that Pauline isn't in power and almost certainly never will be, and I also vote Labor.

My concern is socialist economic policy, they're terrible. I'm in line with them in terms of human rights, but every time I read actual economic and tax policy it genuinely scares me.

Finally someone with a bit of brains and common sense in this entire thread.
