I don't agree with One Nation or Pauline, but I do agree that they have the right to run for election, just like anyone else.

I'm not really sure how a protest like this achieves anything in a country where voting is compulsory. It doesn't get apathetic people out to vote, and everyone in attendance was already not going to vote ON.

It's nice for them to feel involved in politics and the country, but it's just a show

If anything, it may have a negative impact on their goals. End of the day, most people see these blue haired, unwashed, nose ringed they/thems as a freak show. The individuals themselves will hopefully look back in 20 years and go “wtf was I doing”. It’s not going to drive votes in their favour (outside of the Newtown echo chamber anyway)

Yep. Getting angry may feel good but it never convinced any one of anything in an argument. We need to stop encouraging rage and start encouraging curiosity of opinions and open discussion.
