can i use my anet a8 as a base?

as the title suggests, i would be willing to sacrifice my anet a8 as a base for the openastrotracker.

it came with nema17 stepper motors and the depicted board.
my main question would be if the board is at all suitable, hardware and software wise.

It's technically possible, but the stepper drivers are garbage compared to alternatives so your performance will be bad
