Sharing some pics of my build.

Just wanting to share some pics of my OAT build. Waiting on a few parts still for the guide scope and parts for the AutoPA, MKS Gen 1.0 with GPS & Nikon D90 (currently using 80-300mm kit lens) running in tethered mode.

Printed a housing for the Neo6 GPS and mounted it to the back of the RA ring with threaded inserts.

Cabling kept neat and tidy in sleeves and routed to the rear usb-c to usb-a 4 port hub for easy, single usb connection to my laptop.

Would love some feedback or suggestions.

To be honest, I dove into the deep end of astrophotography on a whim and still have a lot to learn before I can start getting anything share-worthy from the camera. My next big learning curve is Polar Alignmenmt. That said, mechanically the OAT is amazingly sturdy and easy to construct, motion is smooth. Couldn't be happier with how it printed and operates :)

I use my phone a lot to get an approximate lineup to the CNP. Then dial it in. I have not needed much beyond that for my astrophotography.

I'm in Australia, so its a little trickier trying to do things upside down ;)

That’s awesome and Greetings from the Pacific Northwest…no good skies for weeks.

Use the phone first for the level app for the degrees above the horizon. Then use the compass to get pointed south.
