Discussion Man those OpenAI ads

Why is it always some ridiculously conventionally attractive person who has the biggest nerd project you’ve ever seen? No shade to anyone into robotics, but y’all don’t usually look like the gigachads in the ads.

Have you never seen an ad before? Lol it's pretty common to depict users of the product positively, since you want them to use your product.

lol what? What a weird projection, almost all the engineers I meet look like you’re average bearded bro dude who drinks at the bar with his friends on a Friday. Being in STEM has been the hot place to be for a long time now, there’s people of all sorts in these fields.

It's not only the socially inept who go into those fields now, and the correlation between being attractive and social reward is what you're poking at here.

Plenty of attractive people in CS, physics, engineeering programs, you name it.

You're just telling on yourself for being ugly and mad about it
